Study Shows Immigrant Entrepreneurs are Creating Jobs & Fostering Economic Growth in US 

A recent study by the National Foundation for American Policy entitled “Immigrants and Billion Dollar Startups,” found that 51% of the country’s $1 billion dollar startups were founded by at least one immigrant entrepreneur.

Companies such as Facebook, Google, Tesla Motors, Linkedin, Uber, Stripe, eBay, Kohl’s,  Yahoo!, BIG LOTS!, Nordstrom, Capital One, Du Pont, TJX Companies, Inc., Goldman Sachs, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Comcast, AT&T, Apple, Cloudfare, and many others were all founded by at least one immigrant entrepreneur.

Immigrant founded companies in the United States today have a market capitalization of “more than 900 billion.

These companies which began as startups now employ over 600,000 workers most of whom are in the United States.

The research found that among immigrant founded billion dollar startup companies, immigrant founders have created an average of approximately 760 jobs per company in the United States.

That is an amazing amount of job creation!
